APEX: ASPIRA OF CT BRANCHES PARENT PROGRAMMING OUT TO WATERBURY & BRIDGEPORT

Another of ASPIRA's APEX will begin shortly at the River Baldwin Community Center. The program will be launched in January and available for community parents throughout the city. ASPIRA feels this APEX site, is sure to continue on in the tradition of training parents to aid and support their children's academic success and educational excellence. Also, in 2009, new sessions will be starting opening up in Hartford, Bridgeport, and New Britain.

December 19, 2008 will also mark yet another successful culmination of an APEX program session, in Bridgeport, as 15 more participants graduate from the parenting program. The celebration ceremony will take place at the Barnum School at 10am on the 19th. As a direct result of ASPIRA's efforts, many of the neighborhood children have received the kind of parental support and guidance that has enhances their education. Throughout the state, ASPIRA has managed to positively affect many Latino parents and their children.
